New fantasyland, mixed emotions

Pluto, Goofy, and Donald from the Pal's Room in Toontown, now a distant memory.

It seems as though people are split on whether to be excited or upset about the announced changes to Fantasyland that are on the horizon for the Magic Kingdom.
The concepts and ideas were announced at a D23 convention in California just under a month ago and are still creating a lot of buzz amongst cast members and faithful Disney guests alike.
When Walt Disney set out to create what would eventually become Walt Disney World he began with the Magic Kingdom, modeled heavily after Disneyland in California. His premise was to create the "Happiest Place on Earth," a place where "parents and children can have fun together." In creating this place, he created a world of seven-themed lands in the Magic Kingdom: Fantasyland, Adventureland, Frontierland, Liberty Square, Tomorrowland, Main Street, and the smallest being Toontown.
